Mission
Serving our community. Supporting our world
At Kenmore Uniting Church, we believe faith is lived out through love, compassion, and action.
We are committed to supporting people both locally and globally — responding to need, building connections, and working towards a more just and caring world.
Local Support
Caring for our local community
We are actively involved in supporting people in our local area through practical care, generosity, and partnership including:
• Supporting chaplaincy at Kenmore State High School
• Providing hampers for families in need through a local Women’s Refuge
Our hampers include non-perishable food, toiletries, linen, blankets, and thoughtful items for all ages — offering comfort and dignity during difficult times.
• Offering support through prayer, care, and financial assistance
• Partnering with community initiatives such as prison and Indigenous ministries
You can contribute by donating items through The Refreshed Shop or contacting us to learn more.
Across Australia
Supporting regional and Indigenous communities
We extend our support beyond our local area to communities across Australia.
We support the work of Frontier Services, which provides practical and pastoral care to people living in remote and regional areas.
We also contribute to initiatives such as the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and support projects in communities like Oodnadatta, including the development of church and community spaces.
Overseas Support
Working for justice and hope globally
We partner with UnitingWorld, the international aid agency of the Uniting Church in Australia, supporting projects that address poverty, injustice, and environmental challenges.
Through these partnerships, we have supported initiatives in countries including Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia.
We also support key appeals such as the Christmas Bowl and LentEvent, helping provide vital resources for communities in need around the world.
In addition, we support Destiny Rescue, which works to rescue children from human trafficking and provide pathways to safe and empowered futures.
